Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled automation engineer in Ogden, UT to design, develop, and implement automation solutions across internal processes. You will build prototypes, program Allen Bradley PLCs, and develop robotics solutions with vision and motion control capabilities.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, collaboration with engineering and operations, and willingness to travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
5+ years of experience programming industrial automated equipment (Allen Bradley PLC, robotics, vision, motion control, pneumatics).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline internal processes and workflows.
Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts for new tools, systems, and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities.
Develop PLC logic and Robotic programs.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize automation systems for performance and reliability.
Document systems and best practices for scalability and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to innovation strategy by identifying new automation value areas.
Present concepts and findings to senior leadership.
Provide timely project updates to management.
Travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
