Job summary

ModeX Therapeutics Inc is seeking a Principal Scientist II, Immunology to lead discovery and preclinical development of multispecific biologics for immuno-oncology and immunology/inflammation indications. This role shapes strategy across the discovery lifecycle, from concept identification to IND-enabling development.

You will mentor scientists, design and oversee in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies, and ensure rigorous data generation and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Immunology or related field; 13+ years research, 7+ in biotech/pharma.
Deep expertise in immunology and immuno-oncology disease biology.
Experience advancing multispecific antibodies and translational pharmacology.

Responsibilities

Provide scientific leadership for multispecific programs from ideation to IND-enabling development.
Identify novel targets and multispecific formats aligned with strategy.
Lead target validation, molecule characterization, and lead optimization.
Design in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies for MOA, potency, and translational relevance.
Mentor scientists and foster a high-performing, inclusive team.
Present strategies and risks to leadership and external partners.
