You will investigate security findings with software teams, improve monitoring, dashboards, and incident response, and help drive cloud migration and deployment automation. This is a 6-month contract with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in information security, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Enterprise production application support experience.
• Strong vulnerability management expertise.
• Knowledge of secure application and platform engineering practices.
• Experience diagnosing high-severity production problems.
• Involvement in incident command or service restoration.
• Understanding of health monitoring and operational analytics.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with change and release processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security findings across IAM applications and supporting tech.
• Prioritize risk by severity, impact, and operational needs.
• Partner with software teams on mitigation plans.
• Support threat modeling, security assessments, and reviews.
• Maintain stability and availability of production platforms.
• Investigate escalated production issues.
• Coordinate engineering during major incidents.
• Document post-incident findings and preventive actions.
• Study trends to identify performance and reliability risks.
• Create dashboards for service health and availability.
• Define alerting thresholds and standards.
• Coordinate dependencies like certificates, networking, databases.
• Maintain consistency across all environments.
• Support releases, upgrades, and production deployments.
• Maintain disaster recovery procedures and failover validation.
• Mentor team members on security and operational best practices.
