Blount Fine Foods in McKinney, Texas, is seeking a Prep Lead for the first shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM). The role oversees the prep department, ensuring precise processing of ingredients and coverage when needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive hourly compensation.
The Prep Lead will guide team members, manage inventory, and uphold food safety standards, including HACCP and allergen protocols, while supporting equipment operations and efficiency metrics.

This position is on the first shift, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The compensation range for this role is $21.00 to $21.52 per hour.

The Prep Lead is responsible for overseeing the Prep department’s efficient and precise processing of ingredients during their assigned shift. The role may involve hands-on preparation or other duties assigned by leadership. In case of absence, the position will be covered by trained personnel.
The role requires meeting physical demands essential for the job, including standing for extended periods, frequent use of hands, reaching, walking, climbing, balancing, and sensory activities such as tasting and smelling. Employees must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision capabilities include close vision.
Production areas are typically maintained at temperatures above 60°F, while refrigerated zones are below 38°F. The environment may occasionally involve exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, and extreme cold. The noise level is generally moderate, and hearing protection may be necessary.
