Job summary

MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure in the US Rapid City project seeks a Lead I&C Startup Technician to oversee all system controls commissioning, checkout and startup through to operation.

You will lead startup packages, develop procedures, coordinate I&C activities with the Construction Foreman, and support safety and environmental compliance on site, with up to 90% travel to project sites. This full-time role typically requires 50 hours per week and is based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of site commissioning and startup experience on large projects.
• Prefer knowledge of startup testing techniques in electrical disciplines.
• Experience as a Start-up Electrical Technician or similar preferred.
• Experience in both new projects and revamps.

Responsibilities

• Assist in startup package development and document control.
• Develop procedures to satisfy EPC agreements and coordinate startup.
• Plan and prepare for startup activities and milestones.
• Support DCS loop and logic testing.
• Coordinate I&C technician activities with Construction Foreman.
• Record progress, as-built changes, and turnover documentation.
• Ensure safety leadership and compliance on site.
