Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions in Birmingham, AL seeks a Lead Instrumentation & I&C Estimator to develop complete EPC cost estimates for industrial power projects across generation, renewables, storage, and transmission. You will guide the estimating team from concept through detailed design, ensuring scope clarity and alignment with engineering and procurement.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in I&C/EPC estimating, strong PLC/DCS/SCADA knowledge, and proven mentoring ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years estimating experience in instrumentation and controls, EPC, or power projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and control system documents.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete I&C estimates for EPC and construction projects (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, indirect costs).
• Lead estimating efforts from conceptual to definitive stages and mentor junior estimators.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams.
• Support bid reviews, client discussions, and proposal development.
