Job summary

The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks a Hydroelectric Generation Supervisor to lead the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of the Leaburg-Walterville Hydroelectric Project. You will supervise Hydroelectric Plant Technicians/Operators across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Reporting to the Electric Generation Manager, you will coordinate with engineering, regulatory agencies, and staff to execute asset management and dam safety initiatives while managing the O&M budget

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressive work experience in a related field with at least five years in operations, maintenance, or capital improvement for electric generating facilities.
• Four years of direct supervision in a multi-functional environment; equivalent combinations may satisfy supervision requirements.
• Experience working with O&M programs, safety protocols, and maintenance management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, reliable operation and maintenance of hydroelectric assets at Leaburg-Walterville.
• Supervise union-represented staff and coordinate with engineering, environmental, compliance and other specialists.
• Develop and oversee O&M budgets and emergency preparedness activities.
• Act as Operations Chief within Incident Command System for site events.
• Plan, prioritize, and track capital improvements and major system modifications.
