Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. (IPS) is seeking a Hydro Field Team Leader to direct field execution of hydroelectric generator inspection, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment across North America.

This hands-on role requires leading crews, providing technical guidance, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule. You will serve as onsite lead, coordinating field resources, directing technicians, and maintaining excellent customer relationships while adhering to IPS safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience supporting hydroelectric generators or large rotating equipment.
• Proven track record leading field crews, winding teams, or major field service projects.
• Direct experience with generator stator and rotor inspection, repair, or refurbishment preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical testing such as Megger/IR, PI, Hipot, winding resistance, Doble, EL-CID, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day direction to field service crews performing hydro generator inspection, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment.
• Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, tooling, equipment, and work priorities to keep projects moving safely and effectively.
• Provide technical leadership during stator/rotor repair activities, including winding-related work and testing.
• Monitor project progress and communicate schedule, resource, technical, and safety concerns to project leadership.
• Ensure field work aligns with project scope, customer requirements, IPS procedures, and safety/quality standards.
• Identify field conditions that may affect scope, schedule, or cost and escalate promptly.
