Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mechanical/Facilities Engineer to lead design, installation, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems for test facilities in Dearborn, MI. You will guide hydraulic pump rooms and central equipment interfaces, working closely with customers and engineers to ensure robust, deliverable designs.

Required are a Civil/Mechanical/Hydraulic engineering degree and strong CAD, modeling, and team leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.
• Experience with CAD tools and hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven technical leadership and ability to work with trades and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage design, installation, and application of mechanical systems in facilities.
• Oversee hydraulic pump room design and operation.
• Develop facility utility interfaces for test cell mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with customers, test engineers, and support staff.
• Prepare mechanical system specifications and project timing plans.
