Job summary

Amentum Dearborn Engine Laboratory in Dearborn, MI seeks a Test Engineer to lead engine test projects, guide cross-functional teams and ensure quality, on-time delivery, and safety in powertrain development. Requirements: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1+ years in powertrain calibration, development and testing; familiarity with Matlab/LabView is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
1+ years of experience in powertrain calibration/development and testing.
Familiarity with internal combustion engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Project Management
Lead cross-functional teams in engine test facility design, deployment and startup.
Deliver quality, timing and financial objectives of a project.
Manage complex installations with detailed design work.
Test engineering related to test room operations.
Troubleshoot site maintenance and identify efficiency opportunities.
Support powertrain development with data analysis and test validation.
Develop and optimize test procedures and facilities.
