Job summary

MPE Services is seeking a detail-oriented Lead HVAC technician in North Alabama to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. You will diagnose and repair complex issues, guide customers to the best solutions, and lead junior technicians in field work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC, EPA certification, and a customer-focused approach. The role includes on-call, overtime, and benefits like health, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an HVAC technician.
• Valid EPA certification required. NATE certification is a major plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, airflow, and control issues.
• Service rooftop units, package units, split systems, heat pumps, and furnaces.
• Replace compressors, reversing valves, control boards, VFDs, etc.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices in field practices.
• Ensure repairs and installations meet code and safety standards.
• Log service records and invoicing in Service Titan.
