Job summary

Mmsteam is seeking an experienced Facility Senior Maintenance Technician to serve as the 2nd shift HVAC expert for our East Peoria facility. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial/industrial HVAC systems with minimal supervision.

This role requires strong knowledge of controls, electrical systems, and refrigeration, plus the ability to read schematics and help guide maintenance staff. Overtime and weekend coverage may be needed to keep critical systems online.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification is required.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair systems independently.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, motors, drives, thermostats, and refrigeration systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HVAC subject matter expert for all 2nd shift operations.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Respond to HVAC emergencies and facility-related issues with little to no supervision.
• Perform advanced maintenance on rooftop units, air handlers, compressors, condensers, chillers, and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC performance issues and energy efficiency concerns.
• Maintain refrigerant systems in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals to support maintenance tasks.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans to maximize uptime.
• Lead HVAC repairs, troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
• Assist with facility upgrades and energy-efficiency initiatives.
