Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled HVAC/R lead to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of refrigeration and grocery rack systems in Summerville stores. You will manage field teams, mentor technicians, and ensure safety, OSHA, and EPA compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and an AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Hold and maintain EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area or 2 years Walmart store experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a MVR.
• Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI/OUI in last 5 years.
• No serious traffic violations in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems in stores.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Manages preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Supervises field teams, mentors technicians and resolves escalated issues.
• Ensures OSHA and EPA refrigerant handling compliance.
• Maintains vendor relationships and tracks parts inventory.
• Coordinates service calls and manages regional workloads.
• Develops processes to meet evolving business demands.
