Job summary

Dakota Refrigeration Inc. seeks a skilled HVAC/R Technician to perform service and installation tasks for industrial and commercial customers.

You will work under management or the HVAC/R supervisor to ensure efficient, safe operations, including on-call duties as required. Requirements include a high school diploma with 2+ years HVAC/R education, 3+ years field experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; HVAC/R training of two or more years.
• Three+ years of HVAC/R experience, preferably as a service or installation technician.
• Good writing, verbal, and reading skills, including the ability to read manufacturers' instructions.
• Ability to clearly communicate with customers, management, suppliers and co workers.
• Active member of RSES pursuing certificate member status.
• Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the US EPA.
• Maintain HVAC/R skills through training, or workshops.
• Current state vehicle operator's license; ability to operate all fleet vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine HVAC/R service and installation activities with limited supervision on/off site.
• Leads or participates in major HVAC/R service or installation jobs to be efficient and profitable.
• Supports other HVAC/R activities including non-service work.
• Operates and secures company vehicle as required per Handbook.
• On-call after-hours duty as needed.
• Diagnose and correct refrigeration, electrical, heating and air conditioning problems.
