Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration, Inc. is expanding its mechanical team in the Upper Midwest, inviting mechanically inclined technicians who value safety, quality, and ethics.

You will service, repair, and install commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, using diagnostic tools, and working with EMS software to access remote control systems. Travel for jobs is required with per diem and hotel provided; participate in an on-call rotation; maintain professional appearance at customer locations;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school optional.
• Minimum 2 years HVAC or refrigeration experience.
• EPA certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and install commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify system issues and complete repairs.

• Handle refrigerants in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Travel for jobs as needed (per diem + hotel provided).
• Participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Use EMS software to access customer control systems remotely.
• Utilize mobile devices to log work orders, hours, and diagnostics.
• Navigate dispatching software, email, and online resources.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or technical college preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC or refrigeration experience.
