Job summary

State of Wyoming seeks a Lead HVAC & Maintenance Specialist at Wyoming Girls’ School to serve as the primary technical expert for monitoring, repairing, and upkeeping campus HVAC/R systems. The role also covers preventive maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, and access control systems, plus light electrical work.

Candidates must be versatile, dependable, and able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies; on-site work is required and occasional groundskeeping and snow

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in Skilled Trades.
• 0-2 years of progressive HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA certification preferred.
• FLSA: Non-Exempt; willing to participate in on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs HVAC/R systems including boilers, air handlers, and exhaust fans.
• Troubleshoots and monitors facility maintenance to support life safety.
• Reviews drawings and schematics; uses HVAC BAS for monitoring and documentation.
• Assists in maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and electrical systems.
• Performs minor electrical work and groundskeeping as needed.
