Job summary

Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) in Ogden, UT is seeking a Journey HVAC Specialist to operate, maintain and repair complex heating and cooling systems in state facilities. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, evacuating/recharging systems, and data logging.

Qualified candidates will have Universal EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification and proven HVAC experience. The position is on-site, with on-call rotation and adherence to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification is required.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing complex heating and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain complex heating and air conditioning systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, perform repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Evacuate and recharge air conditioning systems.
• Install parts, equipment, lines, hardware.
• Build, fabricate, or repair equipment from drawings or instructions.
• Enter data into a computer system and maintain records.
• Perform general facility maintenance including plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Be on-call on a rotating basis.
