Kauai Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, commercial refrigeration, and control systems across residential and commercial properties on Kauai.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personality types.
• Attention to detail and the ability to complete work to a deadline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of HVAC related experience.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including component installation and replacement.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Systems as needed.
• Identify and communicate clearly what is needed to reach a resolution.
• Estimate costs of installation, repairs, and services to customers.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Talk confidently with the customer, acting as a liaison between the customer and office.
• Perform work with a focus on Safety and Quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site; leave site cleaner than arrival.
• Maintain an organized work vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used in the CRM.
• Take the lead on larger repairs and jobsites with more than one technician.
• Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.
