Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking an experienced Journeyman Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, commercial refrigeration, and control systems across residential and commercial settings on Kauai, working independently and leading larger repairs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HVAC experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

• Attention to detail and the ability to complete work to a deadline.
• Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including component installation and replacement.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Systems as needed.
• Identify and isolate problems and clearly communicate what is needed to reach a resolution.
• Estimate costs of installation, repairs, and services to customers.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Talk confidently with the customer, acting as a liaison between the customer and office.
• Perform work with a focus on Safety and Quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site; leave customer site cleaner than arrival.
• Maintain an organized work vehicle and keep accurate records of work performed in the CRM.
• Take the lead on larger repairs and multi-technician jobsites.

Kauai Mechanical is looking for an experienced and motivated Journeyman Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service to customers.

As a Journeyman Service Technician, you will work on a variety of HVAC, commercial refrigeration, and control systems across residential and commercial systems throughout Kauai. Job Functions:

Diagnose and repair HVAC problems, including component installation and replacement.

The ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Systems as needed.

Possess the technical skills to identify and isolate problems clearly communicating what is needed to come to a resolution.
