Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a full-time HVAC Journeyman in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will diagnose, repair and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, rooftops, boilers and water source systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Accepted as Journeyman by the union
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC equipment
• Inspect and test systems including chillers, rooftops, fans, coils and boilers
• Repair or replace defective components and wiring as needed
• Conduct intermediate/advanced diagnostics and brazing with pipefitting
• Lead warranty service inspections and verify functionality
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals
• Mentor apprentice technicians through hands-on guidance
• Record billing, inventory, timecards and reports promptly
• Download programs into equipment and analyze chiller trends
