Job summary

Jetson is seeking a Lead Installer in Windsor, CO, to own full heat pump system installs and guide a crew in a growing market. You will read blueprints, ensure code compliance, and deliver a superior customer experience.

With strong HVAC experience, you’ll mentor junior technicians, maintain quality, and collaborate with engineering to improve our processes as Jetson builds out its new market operation from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on residential HVAC install experience.
• Experience leading an install crew.
• Experience mentoring junior technicians on the job site.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Strong working knowledge of local building codes and compliance requirements.
• Solid refrigerant handling skills—recovery, evacuation, and charging.
• A sharp eye for quality and a low tolerance for cutting corners.
• Clear, professional communication with homeowners and teammates.
• Problem-solving mindset when installs don't go as planned.
• Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits is a strong plus.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete full heat pump system installs from start to finish.
• Execute refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging with care.
• Read and work from blueprints and wiring diagrams to install accurately and troubleshoot confidently.
• Stay current on local building codes and ensure compliance before wrap-up.
• Guide and support less experienced installers on the crew.
• Maintain high quality whether working solo or with the team.
• Deliver a standout customer experience and communicate clearly with homeowners.
• Collaborate with fellow installers and our engineering team to improve processes.
• Help build out the new market operation from the ground up.
