Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Oklahoma Health Care System is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for the AC & Pipe Shop within the Engineering Service.

You will lead a team of skilled technicians, plan preventive maintenance, and supervise projects involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical work and carpentry across the facility. Ideal candidates will have journeyman experience in HVAC/R, pipefitting or maintenance, strong blueprint-reading skills, and proven supervisory

Qualifications

• 5+ years journeyman experience in HVAC/R, pipefitting, or maintenance mechanic.
• Experience supervising a technical discipline and coordinating work orders.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and building plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the AC, pipe, and industrial equipment mechanic unit.
• Plan, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Inspect facilities, interpret blueprints, and assign tasks to staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental programs.
