Job summary

Compu Dynamics is seeking a Field Service Technician 3, HVAC to manage complex mechanical service scopes in data center environments. You will diagnose and repair chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, humidification, and controls, while setting on-site quality and safety standards.

You’ll back up the Field Superintendent on escalations and balance workloads. You will lead multi-technician jobs, mentor junior technicians, and review documentation for accuracy before submission.

Qualifications

• Expert-level HVAC skills on complex commercial and critical-environment cooling equipment.
• Proven ability to lead and sequence multi-technician, multi-day jobs.
• Strong diagnostic ability across refrigeration, airside, and controls systems.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills; leads without formal authority.
• Documentation thorough enough to support accurate billing and a reliable job history.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex service scopes independently and schedule multi-day jobs.
• Provide diagnostics and repair on complex mechanical plant including chillers and CRAC/CRAH units.
• Maintain on-site quality and safety standards and support escalations.
• Direct junior technicians on-site as lead technician and mentor them.
• Represent Compu Dynamics professionally at customer sites and manage on-site communications.
