Job summary

CSA Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across educational, institutional, and municipal facilities in New York. You will manage projects from concept through construction, coordinating with architectural, electrical, and plumbing teams to meet deadlines and client requirements.

The role requires a strong background in HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and design documentation, with preference for a PE license and NYC project familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering design experience, HVAC focus.
• NYPE license preferred; NYC project experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC system design for diverse facilities (educational, municipal, transit).
• Prepare load calculations, equipment selections, duct/piping layouts, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, structure, and MEP disciplines; manage design through construction.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs; ensure code compliance and quality.
