Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. is seeking a Test Technician to perform a broad variety of electrical tests on transformers and components to verify engineering standards, customer specs, and IEEE compliance. The role involves setting up tests, interpreting results, and documenting data with care.

You will work with impulse, high-pot, dielectric, and SFRA test methods, read electrical prints, and maintain a safe, organized lab. A strong safety mindset and fault-tracing ability are essential.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent required; field experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read electrical prints and specs.
• Commitment to safety and zero-harm culture.
• Experience QA testing and data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform electrical tests per specifications.
• Interpret test data and write NCRs for quality issues.
• Repair test equipment as needed.
• Conduct dielectric, impulse and SFRA testing.
• Prepare charts and graphs to show process trends.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Witness testing with customers when required.
