Job summary

Prolec GE Waukesha is seeking a Test Manager to lead the transformer testing organization, ensuring safe, on-time execution and compliance with industry standards. You will drive continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and act as the technical expert for testing and diagnostics.

In this role you will develop testing staff, manage department priorities, and lead FATs while maintaining strong customer-facing technical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience conducting electrical testing in a manufacturing, utility, or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformer testing organization aligning with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Develop testing personnel including Supervisors and Test Engineers with clear goals and succession plans.
• Set department priorities, staffing plans, and capital investment requirements.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous improvement in testing.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, ANSI, and customer-specific requirements.
• Act as the technical authority on transformer testing, diagnostics, and standards interpretation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Lead FATs and serve as the primary customer-facing technical expert for testing matters.
• Oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions related to test failures and quality issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards.
