Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
Direct and evaluate performance of assistant coaches for the sport.
Collaborate with athletic director on insurance coverage for athletes.
Coordinate with other head coaches to operate a balanced athletic program.
Foster sportsmanship and pride in team, school, and community.
Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team, overseeing assistants.
Supervise athletes at varsity, JV, and freshmen contests; manage postseason responsibilities.
Advise on schedules, officials, equipment needs, and facility conditions.
