Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a head cheerleading coach for Heritage High School in Leesburg, VA. The role oversees training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity program and manages assistant coaches.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the athletic director on staffing and insurance, ensuring athlete medicals before practice, and promoting sportsmanship and school pride across all teams and events.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid certification completed or in progress.
• Prefer Virginia teaching license or LCPS classified employee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring and retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with athletic director for insurance coverage of athletes.
• Collaborate with head coaches to run a balanced athletic program.
• Foster sportsmanship and sense of pride in team and community.
• Ensure medical exams are completed before practice season begins.
• Organize recruitment and equipment management for all teams.
