CSULB Housing Lead Building Service Engineer is a leadership role focused on operating and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration and boiler systems across Student Housing and Residential Life facilities, including dining operations. You will lead a small crew, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards and campus policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Extensive journey-level HVAC, refrigeration, boiler and related mechanical systems experience.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues in BAS/electrical domains.
• Valid California driver's license required; EPA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead direction for a small trades crew and prioritize work orders.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs and project planning.
• Ensure safety, codes and campus policies are followed; maintain CMMS records.
• Support emergency response and maintain reliable housing and dining systems.
