Job summary

Canyon Ranch Austin is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead housekeeping, custodial, and laundry operations, ensuring top-to-bottom cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Play a key role in coaching staff, managing schedules, and maintaining safety standards in a luxury wellness setting.

You will oversee daily operations, train teams, monitor inventory, and collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to deliver exceptional service and on-budget performance at our Texas Hill Country property

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of housekeeping, custodial, laundry, or related hospitality experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, laundry processes, and chemical handling.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations meet cleanliness standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and provide real-time coaching to maintain quality and service expectations.
• Track and follow through on guest requests and service needs.
• Report and coordinate resolution of maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
• Support daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning rooms when needed and performing opening and closing duties.
• Assist with public area cleanliness, event setup needs, and overall property presentation.
• Supervise Housekeeping, Custodial, and Laundry colleagues during assigned shifts.
• Assign daily work schedules and room assignments to team members.
• Train, coach, and mentor colleagues on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and service expectations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing development of team members.
• Address performance concerns professionally while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
• Maintain effective communication with Front Office, Engineering, and other operational departments.
• Monitor inventory levels of linens, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels based on business demands.
• Support cost-control initiatives while maintaining service and quality standards.
• Review and verify employee time records and assist with payroll-related processes.
