Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of one year housekeeping experience in a hotel, hospitality, or lodging environment required.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel property management or housekeeping systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open, supervise, and close the Housekeeping Department as assigned.
• Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry team members, providing direction and coaching each shift.
• Assign daily work, room boards, and special projects to ensure efficiency.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations for cleanliness and standards.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate staffing schedules and daily assignments for adequate coverage.
• Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions; train new staff.
• Monitor inventories and compile monthly linens, supplies, and materials.
• Order supplies and maintain budget expectations.
• Assist management with budgeting and operational planning.
• Utilize housekeeping systems to monitor room status and support operations.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, uniforms, and safety requirements.
• Respond to guest concerns and service requests promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Foster a positive, teamwork-driven work environment and pursue continuous improvement.
