Job summary

First Chair Destinations in Stratton, VT seeks a Lead Housekeeper to guide a team of housekeepers, coaching performance and optimizing daily operations to meet productivity and quality standards. You'll assist with scheduling and hands‑on cleaning to maintain our high standards.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, inspections, and cross‑functional collaboration with management. Frequent travel between worksites and weekend shifts are part of the job, with a strong focus on guest experience

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in housekeeping or similar role.
• Prior supervisory/management experience in a similar industry.
• Tech-savvy with digital systems and mobile apps experience.
• Frequent travel between worksites; reliable transportation essential.
• Dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Clear, positive communication with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and workflow to optimize productivity and quality.
• Inspect cleans and support touch-up cleans as needed.
• Supervise housekeeping team, ensuring training and policy adherence.
• Foster a collaborative environment and address conflicts promptly.
• Professional cleaning and maintenance per company standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks and move furniture as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, tickets, and supplies distribution.
• Meet company metrics such as NPS and appearance standards.
• Assist with budget planning and cost analyses for portfolio.
• Support guest/owner concerns via emails, calls, and tickets.
• Collaborate with Business Development when new units join.
• Conduct regular inspections before guest and owner arrivals.
• Maintain relationships with regional and senior management.
• Provide cross-coverage for manager and Co-Leads as needed.
• Other duties as assigned in the hospitality environment.
