Job summary

First Chair Destinations is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to guide a team of housekeepers, prioritize productivity, and ensure top-quality cleaning standards across properties. You will help with scheduling, inspections, and hands-on cleaning to maintain our high standards.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating with managers, and maintaining guest satisfaction while traveling between worksites as needed. Expect a dynamic, hospitality-focused environment with weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
• 1 - 2 years experience in housekeeping or similar position.
• Prior supervisory or management level experience in a similar industry.
• Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
• This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.
• Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners.
• Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information clearly and positively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and workflow management to optimize team productivity and meet departmental objectives.
• Perform inspections of cleans and support touch-up cleans as needed.
• Supervise housekeeping staff ensuring training, effectiveness, and adherence to policies.
• Foster a collaborative environment with open communication and timely conflict resolution.
• Professionally clean and maintain properties using prescribed procedures and products.
• Move furniture as needed and assist with laundry and routine tasks.
• Assist with scheduling, tickets, supplies, and budget management.
