Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Lead Environmental Services professional to coordinate and supervise Environmental Services operations across hospital and campus locations.

The role ensures a sanitary environment while maintaining compliance with state, local, federal, and Joint Commission standards. Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma and at least three years in food services or hospitality, with knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare financial

• Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and health care operations preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and health care financial metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the operations and activities of the Environmental Services Department within assigned hospital and hospital department/campus locations.
• Ensures a sanitary environment and compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates changes and improvements and makes suggestions to Manager.
• Coordinates the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities to provide an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Supports department leadership to achieve daily operations of the Environmental Services Department across assigned areas.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Environmental Services coordinates the operations and activities of the Environmental Services Department within assigned hospital and hospital department/campus locations. Coordinator provides consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations, established policies and procedures and department standards of performance are met.

• Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiateschangeand improvements and makes suggestions to Manager.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all current policies,proceduresand regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC and others) within all food and nutritional services areas.
• Consistentlydemonstratesthe organization'scommitment forand adherence to sound ethical business practicesin accordance withthe Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program, annual work plan and established policies and procedures.
• Coordinates the effective operation of all Environmental Services activities in the organization toprovide oan aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating and supervising all functions of the department.
• Supports department leadership and acts to achieve the daily operations of the Environmental ServicesDepartmentassigned areas encompassing but not limited to all patient and non-patient areas of assigned square footage.
