Job description

Leads environmental services associates in performing a variety of environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. One (1) year of housekeeping experience.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor housekeeping activities in assigned areas to ensure proper cleaning, servicing, and stocking of supplies, completion of work schedules, and adherence to supervisory instructions; report problems as necessary.
2. Perform housekeeping duties including sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
3. Ensure all supplies, materials, and equipment are available in the assigned work area; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
4. Report needs for repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
5. Assist in training employees in proper cleaning techniques and use of supplies, materials, and equipment.

Special Requirements

Completion of annual education related to specialty accreditation standards as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be through CBLs, trainings, in-services, and competency validation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands include performing cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching, bending, and operating floor equipment like vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, and buffers. Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard and be capable of wearing PPE for extended periods.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals.
