Job summary

Residence Inn Mt. Laurel at Bishop's Gate is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance, lead the engineering team, and safeguard hotel operations. You will manage HVAC and electrical systems, perform safety inspections, and respond rapidly to upkeep requests to ensure guests enjoy a seamless stay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year degree with 3+ years hotel/related experience or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: keep guest rooms and public spaces in top condition.
• Lead, train, and schedule engineering staff.
• Perform fire safety inspections and drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests to boost guest satisfaction.
• Patrol grounds, manage debris, Lost and Found, and maintain property appearance.
• Access sensitive areas and represent the company with integrity.
