Job summary

Home 2 Suites - Bordentown seeks a Chief Engineer to support opening and ongoing maintenance of the hotel. The role oversees maintenance, repair, and life-safety programs for all hotel equipment and systems.

The candidate should have supervisory experience, strong engineering knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets and coordinate with contractors, ensuring guest safety and service standards are met.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree with 3+ years of related experience; or a 4-year degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment.
• Supervise engineering staff and contractors on multiple projects.
• Create and manage the annual department budget.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance program for hotel equipment.
• Coordinate periodic safety inspections and life-safety compliance.
• Respond to alarms promptly and determine emergency status and required repairs.
