Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Hospital Officer in Houston to supervise detainees in a hospital setting under established procedures. This role requires strong leadership, adherence to security protocols, and coordinating with hospital and GEO teams.

You will uphold safety, follow restraint protocols, and complete required paperwork while respecting contracts and applicable laws. The position supports GEO's mission to deliver rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years law enforcement experience including 2 years as lead/supervisor OR GEO supervision training.
• Must be at least 21 years old; State Firearms License; State Security Guard License; and required certifications.
• Completion of approved training in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.

Responsibilities

• Maintain custody and control of detainees in the hospital.
• Follow restraint protocols and Medical Guarding Procedures.
• Ensure detainees do not receive outside visitors or calls unless required by contract.
• Complete duty logs and reports; submit to Transportation Supervisor.
• Ensure detainees are properly secured prior to leaving the hospital and comply with laws.
