Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Hospital Officer to supervise detainees in a hospital setting. This role requires ensuring custody, adherence to restraint protocols, and compliance with medical safety during procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 3+ years in law enforcement with 2+ years in a lead role, and relevant licenses. This position offers challenging responsibilities within GEO Secured Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of continuous law enforcement related experience including at least two (2) years as a lead supervisor or completion of GEO’s Supervision Training Course.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a State Firearms License.
• Must possess a State Security Guard License.
• Must have completed approved training in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.

Responsibilities

• Maintains custody and control of detainees in the hospital at all times.
• Follows restraint protocols per Medical Guarding Procedures.
• Ensures restraints do not interfere with medical procedures or detainee safety.
• Keeps detainees within sight and avoids unauthorized outside visits.
• Completes duty logs and reports to Transportation Supervisor.
• Operates within all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
