Job summary

Rockford Center in Newark, DE is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a full-time day shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will perform advanced maintenance on hospital facilities, systems and equipment, conduct inspections, and manage preventive maintenance to keep patient care operations safe and reliable. A high school diploma, five years of hospital maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license are required; HVAC and plumbing knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Five (5) years of related maintenance experience in a hospital setting preferred and industry certifications.
• Experience with facility maintenance, HVAC and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities, building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Conducts routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and life safety systems and identifies corrective actions.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, testing, and preventive maintenance using CMMS.
• Assists with facility projects, renovations, equipment installations, and departmental initiatives as assigned.
• Provides guidance and training to newly hired maintenance staff.
• Responds to routine, urgent, and emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruptions to patient care.
