Job summary

Rockford Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. Located in Newark, DE, this 138-bed facility serves children, adolescents, adults and older adults with inpatient and partial programs.

You will maintain a clean and safe environment, perform HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs, and prepare the facility for events.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED and hospital maintenance exposure.
• Two years of related maintenance experience, with HVAC and plumbing knowledge.
• Industry certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• General repair, painting, and maintenance of building.
• Maintain grounds to include ice and snow removal and maintenance of parking lot.
• Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
• Respond in a timely manner to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures.
