Rockford Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., in Newark, DE, seeks an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a full-time day shift. You will ensure the safe, efficient operation of hospital facilities and building systems in an acute behavioral health setting.

The role involves advanced maintenance, inspections, preventive work, and documentation, with opportunities to guide staff and address routine and emergency requests to minimize disruptions to patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of related maintenance experience in a hospital setting preferred, with HVAC and plumbing knowledge.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities, building systems, equipment and grounds.
• Conducts routine inspections of facilities, equipment and life safety systems with corrective actions as needed.
• Completes preventive maintenance work orders and corrective tasks per schedules and regulatory standards.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS and documentation practices.
• Assists with facility projects, renovations and equipment installations as assigned.
• Provides guidance and training to newly hired maintenance staff on procedures, equipment operation and safety.
