Job summary

Rockford Center, part of Universal Health Services, in Newark, DE, seeks a Maintenance Technician for a full-time day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. You’ll maintain a clean, safe environment and handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs for a 138-bed facility serving varied age groups.

Responsibilities include building upkeep, grounds maintenance, event setup, and rapid response to alarms in accordance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; hospital maintenance experience preferred.
• Two years of related maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing or electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment and systems.
• General repair, painting, and routine building maintenance.
• Maintain grounds, including ice/snow removal and parking areas.
• Perform plumbing and electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare facilities for events by setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms and codes per safety procedures.
