Job summary

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is seeking an Horticulture Lead to coordinate daily horticulture operations, provide leadership and hands-on support across plant care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, floral operations, and seasonal décor. You will oversee safety, equipment use, and environmental compliance while delivering service excellence.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in horticulture or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of progressive experience in horticulture, exterior maintenance, seasonal decor, groundskeeping, floral or casino experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks, organizes work schedules, and provides hands-on support to team members in grounds, landscape, and horticultural maintenance.
• Performs maintenance duties and projects, trains team members, and provides guidance on plant care, irrigation, pruning, and landscape activities.
• Provides safety instruction and enforces PPE use; ensures proper labeling, storage, and SDS compliance for chemicals and pesticides.
• Maintains inventory, fills supply requests, and ensures equipment and materials are available.
• Engages in exceptional customer service to foster brand loyalty with external and internal customers.
• Conducts preventative maintenance checks, walks through areas, follows up on tasks, and reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs other duties to support efficient department operations.
