Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience following certification in the operation of complex or specialized highway maintenance and construction equipment.
• Experience operating highway maintenance equipment.
• Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in planning and scheduling routine maintenance activities (fence repair, guardrail repair, asphalt patching and repair, concrete repair, etc.).
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance efforts.
• Operate and train others in the use of specialized highway maintenance equipment.
• Establish traffic controls and reroute traffic as needed in maintenance zones and construction areas.
• Respond to emergencies and accidents and complete required forms and documentation.
