Job summary

MoDOT’s Warrenton Maintenance Facility is seeking a Maintenance Crew Leader to supervise a crew, assign tasks, and train employees performing highway maintenance duties under moderate supervision.

You will lead operations such as setting up work zones, mowing, patching, snow removal, and sealing and inspect bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs. You will operate equipment and assist in keeping records and reports up to date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status.
• Five years of experience performing roadway, roadside, bridge or sign maintenance or pavement marking responsibilities.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews during maintenance operations, set up work zones, and manage road maintenance activities.
• Operate highway maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders and snowplows.
• Oversee material usage and assist in reporting and maintaining employee records.
• Oversee routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Inspect bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and monitor progress.
