Job summary

MoDOT is seeking a Maintenance Crew Leader at the Wentzville Maintenance Facility in Wentzville, MO. You will lead crews during maintenance operations, set up work zones, operate highway maintenance equipment, monitor work, and train employees under moderate supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and interstate status, five years of roadway or bridge maintenance experience, and successful completion of a work simulation and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Five years of roadway/bridge/sign maintenance or pavement marking experience.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads crews during maintenance operations, including setting up work zones and performing maintenance tasks.
• Operates highway maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders, and snowplows.
• Oversees material usage and may submit supply, inventory, and building reports; assists with employee records.
• Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and progress.
