Job summary

MoDOT in Missouri seeks a Maintenance Crew Leader to supervise highway maintenance teams, set up work zones and monitor operations on busy roadways. You will operate heavy equipment, inspect bridges and roadways, and maintain records while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement; no air brake restrictions; interstate status.
Five years of roadway/bridge/maintenance experience or related work as described.
Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

Leads crews during maintenance operations, including setting up work zones and various maintenance tasks.
Operates highway maintenance equipment (tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders, snowplows).
Oversees material usage and may prepare reports; assists in maintaining employee records.
Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and results of work.
