Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and interstate status (EI or NI) required.
• Five years of experience in roadway, roadside, bridge or pavement maintenance tasks.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads crews during maintenance operations, sets up work zones, and oversees tasks.
• Operates highway maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders and snowplows.
• Oversees material usage and may prepare supply, inventory, and building reports; maintains employee records.
• Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to assess maintenance needs and progress.
