Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology and six years of progressive technician experience.
• High School or GED with eight years of progressive technician experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting highway construction plans.
• Ability to supervise and train lower-level technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead project inspector on large highway construction projects.
• Monitor contractor operations for compliance with specifications and contracts.
• Supervise and train CEI staff and department employees.
• Ensure environmental permits compliance and sediment control.
• Oversee utility relocations and manage subcontracts.
• Read, interpret, and explain plans, provisions, and drawings.
